1. Need open chest and upper part of abdomen so avoid vest, t shirts. Use cloth that can be open from midline eg shirts etc.
2. Need a quiet child so sometimes, oral sedation in the form of syrup (pedicloryl/triclfos sodium) needs to be given. It is form of mild sedation.
3. Child may sleep in 30-45 minutes and occasionally second dose has to be given.
4. Please do not feed the baby till child is fully awake.
5. Generally child sleeps for two hours after the medicine.
6. It is better if child did not sleep for 4-5 hours before the test.
7. This medicine is generally safe.
8 If child dosen't sleep , may have to be called again on another day.
